Video Game Reviews of Grand Theft Auto 3Customer Review: this game is hard! Summary: 3 StarsHaving played and beaten GTA Vice City and San Andreas with ease i bought this game and it is alot harder. With enemy gangsters shooting at you every other block in the city get used to dying despite cheat codes if you decide to use them
for the players who are used to the in game map with your player location on it this game does not offer one which makes getting lost a lot easier
Customer Review: instant classic Summary: 5 Starsgta 3 is a fantastic game, and it's tough to find for PC these days, amazon shipped it to my house in 2 days, very impressive.
Customer Review: Make it your own Summary: 5 Stars My brother and i used to play this game when it first came out for PC. I wanted the game because it brings back good memories, and its so easy to mod. you can personalise everything, including what your charachter looks like. you can put your favorite cars into the game, and even some of your favorite buildings. Love the game. I reccomend it.
Customer Review: not as fun as GTA: Vice City Summary: 4 StarsGTA III is fun but not as good as Vice City. I'm about 17 missions in and so far I'm not all that impressed. As far as I can tell there's no chainsaw or flamethrower, even with cheat codes. And worst of all, there's no Molotov cocktails. The graphics are not as good as Vice City. GTA III's graphics are fuzzier. So far, GTA III's missions are just conventional mob/criminal in nature (whacking people, stealing, etc.). I got a kick out of the funny missions in Vice City such as taking long range photos of the politician in a impeachable activity with an adult film star "actor". Some of the missions in GTA III are annoying such as when you must steal 3 cars for a Japanese mobster and then must deliver them in perfect condition. In GTA III I don't think you get to own cool businesses like strip clubs, porno movie studios or ice cream trucks from which you sell narcotics. You can't go into as many buildings in GTA III as you can in GTA:Vice City. In GTA III you can't point a gun at a store clerk to rob the store.
However, I do like GTA III's larger city map. The M-16-like assault rifle is too powerful. But, I do like how the game designers made the AK-47. It's somewhat like a real Kalashnikov.
I don't know if GTA III came out after GTA: Vice City. GTA: Vice City is alot better and in addition to the things above, the Vice City's gameplay is smoother.
Customer Review: Easily one of the best games on the PC Summary: 5 StarsA friend of mine recently installed this game on his P4 PC with a 64MB Gforce video card with 256 MB of RAM that he built himself, and since I have played the PS2 version, I'll just stick to the game, so here we go.
The graphics are MUCH BETTER (more like Vice City graphic's especially if you are running a bad-a** video card) than the PS2 version. Like the PS2 version; you basically go around doing missions for mob bosses; there are also side-mission's too (if you steal a taxi, an ambulance, or a cop car) that you can do if you get tired of doing the missions (sometimes they do get boring and HARD; there is this one mission where you have to street race in order to get respect on the street's...it took me two day's to FINALLY beat that mission).
The gameplay is great, the controller's take sometime getting used too especially if you are using the keyboard (which I had to do because the controller was just too much), but either than that, the gameplay rocks!
Missions: The first missions are a piece of cake (their no different from the PS2 game) but as you progress farther into the game, they get harder; even sometimes it takes hours just to beat one SINGLE mission because of the difficulity of the mission, also sometimes they can get a little boring and repeative.
The content: Again, like all of the GTA games, this is NOT FOR KIDS, please it bugs me when I see mom's and dad's get their kid's M rated games for their four or five year old son because I have been playing games since the NES day's, so now as an adult I like my games to have adult situations, so please if you are an adult, please don't get your son or daughter this game, it's not FOR KIDS!
Thanks for reading my review, I hope I have been of help.
