Video Game Reviews of Creatures 3Customer Review: Astounding Summary: 5 Stars...It doesn't cost alot and it is a wonderful game!In the game, you breed and raise a Norn. You can communicate with it, protect it, feed it, play with it, cure it, and even bury him when the time comes. Also..there are two other species that pose a threat to your Norn population. Grendels are evil creature that torture and contaminate norns with highly contagious dieseases. Ettins. They basically take apart the machines you build and hoard them. They also carry disease. This game is great! ... you'd better take your oppurtunity!
Customer Review: Creatures 3 Summary: 3 StarsIs very fun and interactive at first, then it just gets annoying after awhile.. can't do anything new, and gets boring. Would highly suggest it for kids, though, teaches them to take care of their belongings. Is a lot like Catz or Dogz, probably because it is made by the same people. I give it a 3.
Customer Review: What a wonderful game! Summary: 5 StarsThis game is amazing! It's like having your very own pet on the computer. And unlike Gigapets, you don't have to spend every waking moment taking care of them! The graphics are superb, and interacting with the Norns is extremely easy. Just watch out for the Grendels, nasty monsters that like to beat up Norns and eat their eggs. They'll also give your Norns diseases. Ettins are friendly, but they do take a lot of the machine agents back to the Ettin desert. There are many different things to do in this game, such as teaching your Norns, healing them when they're sick, breeding them, and even splicing them. You can also splice Ettins and Grendels. I reccomend this game for anyone who'd like a pet, even if they don't have the time for a real one.
Customer Review: The Good and Bad of Creatures 3 Summary: 4 StarsI've just very recently bought Creatures 3 and there are some big differences in the system! First, the positives. The user-interface is SO much easier to use! You don't have to wait for your norn to discover new areas in order to explore the new wolrds. All you have to do is move your mouse left or right and you can scroll with ease! It also helps that you can now lead your norns to where you want them to go, instead of having to coax them to follow the hand. There's also lots to do in the world, like build machines that do things like detect pregnancies and so and, and you can now actually interact with Ettins (they're so neat, and have a lot more personality) and Grendles. The Norns are also smarter and have a much bigger voacbulary. The four echo-systems also have many new animals and plants that are fun to interact with, and the graphics are GREAT! Now for the bad news... Creatures 3 has completely eliminated the "kits". This makes it very difficult to know what's going on with your creature. You can't "see throught the creature's eyes" like you could in Creatures 2, and it's very hard to tell when they're sick, fertile, or what not. A lot of the new implements in C3 are kind of complicated, and take awhile to master. You also can't hatch one creature at a time, you get two instead, and the other thing is that the only facial expression they show is happiness. Overall? I have A LOT to do before I get even CLOSE to mastering this game (and I've owned C1 and C2!). The elimination of the kits make the game difficult, but a challange as well. C3 gives you lots of fun stuff to "tinker" with, and the graphics are absolutley wonderful. I'm very happy I bought this game, and I look forward to the challanges it presents. Hope this was helpful!
Customer Review: Creatures 3 Summary: 5 StarsCreatures 3 is a phenomonal game. I wish I knew how to spell phenomenal....Anyway, Creatures 3 is awesome. You have to breed your Norns in a giant space-ship habitat, containing four different-enviornment terrariums. The Jungle is swarming with Grendels, who will kill your Norns the SECOND you look away. Ettins roam the ship, searching for teacups. This game is an ENORMOUS improvement upon Creatures 2, which had creatures that were difficult to interact with and teach. Later in the game, you can activate a tool that allows you to breed Ettins and Grendels. There's also an injector, which will allow you to inject them with anything from Life to Cyanide, and a Splicer that allows you to genetically Engineer Norns, Ettins, and Grendels. A Genetics kit is said to be coming out, an add-on for the game, which allows you to adjust the slightest thing to make your creatures stronger and better.
