Customer Review: A caution for those whose systems have 4 GB's or more memory installed...

Hello...
I don't have anything more (or new) to add to what the other reviewers have commented on (in terms of gameplay or features) other than it is an excellent game with superb graphical detail, particularly with the animals.
However, I didn't realize when I purchased the game is that there is a glitch in the code that only allows the game to see up to 3 GB's of system memory (perhaps more but less than 4 GB's.) With 4 GB's or more, the game will come up with an error message claiming it cannot see any system memory. I spoke with a Microsoft technician who stated there are no patches available to address this situation, however, there is a workaround, which I will quote from a thread at the Official Zoo Tycoon's Support Forum...
# Press Windows and 'R' key simultaneously to get Run window.
# Type msconfig in Run Window and click OK
# If system prompts for User control account permission, please click on Continue.
# In system Configuration Window, select Boot Tab
# Under Boot Advanced Option Window.
# Click check mark on Maximum Memory
# Type memory to 2000
# Click on OK, again click OK to close the window.
# Restart the system and test the game
Although 2 GB's was recommended, the game worked for me using 3 GB's.
Also, if you want to use the highest (best) graphics setting in the game, make sure your graphics card (or onboard chipset) is powerful enough to handle it, otherwise the game will not function properly, if at all.
