I purchased the original Zoo Tycoon for my son. We installed it on my computer because the video card in his computer was too old. I quickly became addicted to it myself! It is very educational in that it teaches animal husbandry, business management, and architecture. I quickly purchased Zoo Tycoon 2, and upgraded with Marine Mania, endangered species, and African adventure expansion packs. The newer version lets you interact with the animals, feeding, watering, and cleaning pens. It also lets you walk your zoo as a visitor, or ride in some of the rides you can create. There is nothing bad about this game and I recommend it for any age that can understand how to create with the software. My 8 year old could use it fairly well, but had to age a little before he understood the business end of it. Highly recommend.
