If you enjoyed AOE I, then you will salivate over AOE II. AOE II retains the qualities of AOE I but features cooler weaponry, technology, and defensive structures. Each civilization has at least one unique military unit and a unique technology (for example, the Vikings are the only civilization with Berzerkers and Longboats), you have more options for diplomacy and trade, and you can garrison your civilians and infantry inside town centers, towers, and castles for protection and healing. Thumbs up!

Age of Empires II, Gold Edition combines the unlimited gameplay of Age of Empires and Age of Empires Expansion: The Rise of Rome in one compelling package.
