OK, compared to all the flashy new games that are out these days the graphics are nothing, but it's so addictive!
I've been playing this game now for about 10 years and a few times a year I play it for hours on end, trying to build a good new society in the new world.
You can build cities, assign certain tasks to people who are good at it and try to maintain friendships with the indians, the other European nations (you can choose between England, France, Spain and Holland) and eventually get your independance (after a war) with the mother country.
If you liked the first version of Civilization you will like this, it's small, easy to play and you will actually learn something about colonial history as well!
