Customer Review: Beautiful But Lacking In Substance

While the graphics are beautiful and the UI is brilliant, Warhammer Online itself is seriously lacking in substance. Many will find that PvP becomes fun in the game's unique approach, even those who will say they have no interest in PvP whatsoever. However, there is no real PvE content to balance it out or the feeling of an immersive story (even if you play on a RP server). Crafting is virtually non-existent with only two main professions (and four gathering professions), and feels like an afterthought. Plus, the game was prematurely released, so there is only one capitol city and bugs abound. Big promises were made, expectations were high, and Warhammer Online just did not deliver.
I gave it a real try for about six months, but the game could not hold my attention, even though I had friends to play with. If you prefer raiding or PvE content, you're better off sticking with World of Warcraft.
