Now, the Sims is a great game, but The Sims Vacation is not that great. You can go on vacation, which I admit is pretty fun the first time, but it gets boring. Besides, the Sims always lose motive points on vacation and sometimes you can't satisfy them. There are new objects to buy, too. Well, all of the Sims stuff is really cool, so I can't give this TOO bad of a rating. But by far, out of all the expansion packs for The Sims, this is definitely the most boring one. There're only three types of places you can go on vacation: forest, beach, and winter. And some of the animations between those three are the same. For example, the snowball fight option in the winter places is exactly the same animation as the water balloon toss. Not too creative.
It was a great idea, but if for some reason you can only afford all the expansion packs minus one, leave this one out. You won't be missing as much as if you left out one of the other ones.

I agree with "A gamer" from Tempe, Arizona. This expansion pack totally messed up The Sims on my computer. It either wouldn't run at all, or it would shut down once I got into it. I spent 30 or 40 dollars on it, so it was pretty much a waste of money. I'm sure it would've been fun if it had worked, and it seems like it worked for most of the reviewers. However, other friends of mine who got this expansion pack said it didn't work for them, either. And for some reason, the other expansion packs do.Customer Review: the best expansion i have!

i love going on vacations, and it really helps when trying to make friends. if you bring a friend, they're stuck with you until you decided to go back home. also, you can sleep and junk without them going away, although i still have yet to figure out how to get the friend to go to bed, so it may not be possible. when they fall over, leave them and cut the trip shorter...
