Customer Review: this is FUN!!!!
Summary: 5 Stars

but do the people have to make sounds like they're crying so much? i try getting this one person to do something and he cries and waving his hands and then he MOANS when i say do this or do that!!! i mean i LOVE this game but they can't speak english though oh well that's ok they talk so much they probably run it all together. but anyway it's really fun to tell them what to do i don't know why it is but it's just is!!! like telling them to read the paper they actually sound like they're reading it!!! like they say"uh huh ooh uh huh hmmm ohh uh huh ohh" then they put it down but can't they just put it in the house after reading it? they just put it back in the grass. and it does save your people automatically they just stay there in the original houses!but you can only do like 8 people why not more? but that's ok.

Customer Review: Completely Aggravating
Summary: 1 Stars

This game is completely aggravating. The characters do not do what you want, especially if they are miserable, which is usually all the time. They let you know this by waving at the camera. It is difficult to keep all of their needs met expecially when they have to go to the bathroom, take a shower or eat every five minutes. It takes them so long to complete a task that it is time to go to bed. It is hard to maintain relationships, especially when you have to go to the bathroom or take a shower or eat every five minutes. They do not know enough to move objects out of the way. they will not do what you command if something or someone is blocking them. The neighbors come in uninvited eat uninvited and are impossible to get to leave. It is impossible to operate all of the characters and make them happy. You get one happy, another one is miserable, has to go to the bathroom ar take a shower. Once they go to the bathroom someone else has to go to the bathroom or go to bed. With more than one character I am contantly having my characters go to the bathroom or take a shower, there is no time to do anything else. There is also the problem with the clown. If your characters are unhappy he shows up and will not leave. Plus they have more problems using the stove. The stove constantly catches on fire.

Customer Review: This should not be so addictive
Summary: 5 Stars

I realize that we all have real lives, or at least we're "supposed to." But, living a simulated life can just be so much fun!

One of my favorite things to do is to build houses and put a whole bunch of stuff in them (using codes to get more money quickly). It is also fun to play your sims. I can spend hours just moving them about their daily lives. If you do not use codes to get a lot of money, your sim actually has somewhat of a goal - to keep their job and advance in it. Not to mention keep their soical life alive! Funny, we are worried about their social lives, and yet, by playing this, we are not really helping ours... Ha!

Anyway, I have the deluxe edition that I got the other year for christmas and I bought the Unleashed expansion pack later. However, they now have The Sims Complete Collection that has every expansion pack, while the original deluxe only has one. So, if you are new to The Sims, you might as well get the Complete one, since it is not that much more money to get a lot more things.

Customer Review: virtual crack
Summary: 4 Stars

This game is so addicting its like virtual crack. You are given a free hand at creating a family, dressing them, naming them, giving them employment and designing and building their houses. This addition gives you more characters, friends, items to buy, and scenarios to create. The Sims are people who need the essentials (food, home, toilet, security) and social needs (friends, loved ones, and entertainment). You create how they live their lives and what perils they may encounter. Sims can marry, die, and have children. If you do not take care of your children they can be taken away, if you dont protect their house you can get robbed, if you dont show up to work you lose your job. I like that not only are you creating these characters lives but you are in charge of organizing them so they can stay out of trouble which would be good lessons for children. I really love the game but on the technical side, I had a lot of problems with my computer freezing and losing saved scenes. The software lasted me about 1 month (perhaps 15 days of play) before it started having some problems, and then about 3 months before it stopped working all together. I had problems with other Sims games, Sim City, and Sim Island. I have repeatedly replaced the software but eventually gave up. Since other people have also placed this concern in their reviews, I know this happens to others.
All in all, I really did enjoy this and it is a wonderful game for adults and kids because its creative, and highly enjoyable. Its also a blast to play on playstation but slightly different.
There are so many computer versions now that you can pick some other great Sim games as well.

Customer Review: well...
Summary: 2 Stars

This game was really fun but i couldn't play it for more than an hour or it would freeze and computer would go black. it takes a really long time to install. It also caused the sound to go out but my dad fixed it. it is a addicting game though but not worth it.
