Customer Review: Disappointed
Summary: 1 Stars

We have not gotten a chance to play the game because our computer does not have the adequate software to be able to install the game. Nowhere on the box does it indicate this or in the description before purchasing it. I will never buy another product from this software manufacturer again.

Customer Review: I lose my day and night playing
Summary: 5 Stars

I absolutely love this game. have been playing since it the original Sims came out Each expansion has its pro and cons. But you its nice to have them all to get the full effect of the game. They are all interlinked in one way or another.
I can get these animated people to listen to me most of the time when no body else will listen. Its pretty cool to have your sims have a baby and watch it grow up maybe go to College (if you have University) get a job maybe own a business (Open for Business expansion) go to a nightclub and act like a idiot
(NightLife expansion) I have not bought pets because I have read on sites there are too many bugs in it. Some people have had it not work at all after installing it. So I am too chicken to buy it and not have it work. I will be getting SEASONS soon. That one looks to be cool finally Sims will have rain snow lightening falling leaves sun and all the goodies that we ourselves experience every day! Sims2 Rules! I should know! lol
Recommended for those people who have plenty of time to sit in front of the computer. Very addictive!

Customer Review: Love it
Summary: 5 Stars

This game is awsome. It is fun and very inventive. The graphics are good and I love that you are able to create your own sims and design your own houses.

Although I have played this game before, at a uncle's house, my mom and dad are iffy about me buying this game for our home computer. They think the game may have "bad" content in it. I now it is ok but they are still not sure. So I need some help confincing them that this game is alright. So if you could please add a coment telling them how this game is ok for a [..]like me. I love this game and really want to be able to play it at home at any time I want. So if you could please comment on how this game is ok for a mature [..]. They think blurring out the sims in the bath is a bad thing so please help me.

I don't want this review to confuse you by making you think I have never played this game before because my mom and dad are not sure if this game is teenager friendly. This game is amazing and I am always playing it at my uncle's house. It is alot of fun with many things to do and accomplish. So don't get me wrong this is my favorite game of all time and I highly reccomend it to annyone who is looking for a new and fun game. I would also say that this is one of the easiest games to play from 7:00 in the morning to 11:00 at night. So much fun and is an extreme must have. I highly reccomed it to anyone.

So please help me confince my parents that this game is awsome and approprate. So please comment. Sorry for any spelling issues, I'm not the best speller. PLEASE COMMENT!!!!

Customer Review: Cool at first, but gets old quickly. Game also needs revamp in focus.

I owned the first version of the Sims as well. This one has much better graphics, more realistic movement, and better social options. The Sims 2 also attempts to take care of one glaring problem of the Sims 1: there was no goal or purpose to the game.

Now in the Sims 2 they have added aspirations that can include things like love, money, popularity, etc. But unfortunately, getting the Sims to fulfill these aspirations isn't interesting. You are doing all the same sorts of boring things except you make the decision to do one boring thing over a different boring thing because one of the boring things will work towards your aspiration and the other boring one won't.

The problem with this game is something they did wrong from the get-go in the Sims 1 and haven't fixed: Making people eat food and go to the bathroom is boring. Think about life -- real life, your life. What makes it interesting? What resonates? Not taking a dump.

Furthermore, the behavior of the Sims doesn't match the way real people act. For example, you can have a Sim eat too much food and get fat. Once they are fat, they will walk a little slower than they did before. They won't get depressed or need new clothes. They just walk slower. So what? There is absolutely no reason to make your Sim eat too much food in the first place. There should be a benefit of it for the Sim that would make him want to overeat. Maybe it could increase their mood or maybe it could increase their comfort level or maybe their mood or comfort would suffer if they didn't overeat.

This game acts like the only thing that affects our behavior are plainly and simply our physical needs. The game completely misses the psychology and emotions of humans that make us more interesting than animals. We might as well be controlling a pack of bears and having them pick berries and mate and eat and poo. Because that's this game is: mundane micromanaging.

The first time around playing, exploring all the different social options and possibilities is interesting, and it can be fun to take the mechanical boring action on the screen and create your own storyline to it. But the truth is, it does get old quickly. And the expansion packs give you some other stuff to do, but they get old just as quickly, if not quicker.

Customer Review: Awesome

This game adds so much to the original game, it's incredible. So much fun, and building your own houses and neighborhoods expands the possibilities! Can't wait for the Seasons expansion pack!
