Being a fan of the Sims 2 I had to say that this was well worth buying. it was nice to be able to dig for treasure, and go to exotic places with my sims family. I would recommend any person who loves the sims to get this... Customer Review: Overrated!

The cover and descriptions look promising. We can build beach lots, but that's about all the fun I received out of this expansion. Never mind the fact that the island maps are so varied that certain lots only fit on certain neighborhood shorelines, Sims can now build sandcastles and swim in the ocean.
Bigfoot? Mysterious instructor? Witch doctors? Tour guides? Fun the first time or two around, but after that, it gets old. If you play a lot of different Sims, you'll have to keep bringing them to the three respective islands and have them master the local gestures and visit the same three creatures over and over.
I do enjoy the new items (hammock was one of them) and Bon Voyage adds pagoda roofs along with new furniture, but really? I felt like this expansion was a major letdown.
I bought it used for $7.99 and I feel it's still not worth it.

I personally wasn't "Lost in Paradise" with this game. Don't get me wrong though, I love The Sims2...its just with me, I have all the expansions and stuff packs for this game, and there is just soooo much stuff going on in my Sims lives, they don't have time for vacations. The game itself is cool and its like when the Sims go Downtown and the time doesn't change at their homelife. The same thing happens when they go on vacation. There are a lot of places for them to vacation to and you do get a lot more stuff for the Sims to do and decorate with. All in all, very good game.
