Video Game Reviews of Left 4 Dead

Customer Review: Got Scammed...
Summary: 1 Stars

The quality of the product sold to me was terrible. I did know Valve Games required a CD Key just to play the game. And there is a Limit of one CD key per registration and this product was used. So this resulted in me wasting 25$ because the game did not even allow me to install it due to the CD key restriction. Selling Used Valve games is a fraud and should be Illegal. So what i bought was just a useless CD.

Customer Review: What fun!!
Summary: 5 Stars

If you like shooting things then you'll love filling zombies full of holes. One of the most realistic looking games I've played and the physics of how zombies move and react is excellent! I didn't think the online play was all that great but single player is the best and gamers are starting to make their own mods for it.

Customer Review: Should Win "Most Overrated Game of the Year"
Summary: 3 Stars

Listen carefully and you'll hear the zombies say, "Brains". That's because this game lacks any. Even though this game is rated for 17+, it doesn't surprise me that all the positive reviews come from momma's fanboyz, barely entering puberty.
You get 20 short, short, short, levels.
You kill endless swarms of zombies.
Wash, rinse, repeat.
One positive: It has great graphics.
Should be a $10 game.
No need to enjoy any eye candy because most of the rooms you explore are empty, plus you never get a chance to look around since a swarm hits from nowhere every 5 min. There is no variation in zombie population density regardless of your surroundings. You just want to get to the next "safehouse", a joke as it is just a small room where you heal and load up on ammo, then jump back out into chaos.
Mounted weapons are rarely useful since their rotation is always severely limited and of course the swarms never come from the direction they are aimed. And they are immoble. (Remember Half-Life? You could move those tripod autoguns around to suit the defensive situation.)
There isn't any replay value unless you are the type who can play pong from sun up to sundown. How many millions of zombies can you kill before it gets boring? Pretty quickly if you have "brains". Serious Sam got away with killing hoards while not making it boring by using astonishing huge and spectacular levels. Plus the baddies were never exactly the same; They were introduced like most games, as tremendously strong (but with an Achilles heal), rare and as big bad bosses. L4D has the same exact zombies all the time. Even the bosses get boring. There are 4 of them....One, Two, Three, Four. They don't ever change, they don't ever vary in type.
Is is a glorified arcade game with pretty good graphics.
Cannot sell this game used to anyone, unlike FEAR, since it's Valve; You get associated with the activation code.
I won't even get into the logical and technical issues of this game as others here have already mentioned them, such as rooms that autofill with zombies after having been cleared.

Customer Review: great single player action
Summary: 4 Stars

Haven't tried the multiplayer yet - but the single player campaign delivers great zombie fragging entertainment. Great looking visuals, runs well on contemporary mid-range hardware. Great replayability.

Customer Review: Well worth the amazon price
Summary: 5 Stars

This game cost me 32 dollars on the special holiday days.

The game is immersive and extremely fun.

-Graphics are nice looking and the intro movie is sick!!
-Game play is about 8-10 hours if you are playing on normal or advanced and die a few times at the finales.
-Multiplayer is where this game really shines its extremely addicting and if you figure out how to use the characters well you will be like me and played for 6 months straight close to every week.
-Single player is fun but after you beat it once it really has no replayability because it seems so easy.

The game is well worth the money I paid, if I had to and knew how good the game was I would pay the 50 dollars it was selling for.

If you like long immersive single player games, this game is not that, its fairly short and the story is very vague

It makes up for it with creativity, great multiplayer and the fact it runs great even on older machines, with the constant updates that have been released and a well known great company, this game deserves to be supported. Unlike crap E-A with their pathetic support, valve cares about their community(to a point)
