Video Game Reviews of Command & Conquer: GeneralsCustomer Review: C&C series is a must have for Real time strategy game players Summary: 5 StarsI have been playing C&C since the first one came out in 1995 and had never got tired of playing this game. The only thing that can make me leave a C&C Game is a New C&C game. What makes great this games is not the graphics or movies, what makes it great is the always fun gameplay.
Customer Review: GREAT FUN GREAT GAME Summary: 5 StarsI have this game and the expansion for it. They are both great games. This game, Generals, has great detail if you have fast enough of a computer. You can play three different campaigns, the US, the Chinese, and the GLA (Global Liberation Army). The campaigns are great but they do not join together that well, it's not like where one ends the other leaves off. This is one thing that the expansion pack fixes. Overall this is a great game and I would suggest it to anyone that likes RTS games and likes to build their own powerful armies.
Customer Review: The Best! Summary: 5 StarsCommand and Conquer Generals is a fantastic game with great graphics and realistic war scenes!
Customer Review: I'm going back to RA2 Summary: 1 StarsI was waiting a while for this game's price to go down, playing Red Alert 2 in order to get pumped for Generals. I thoroughly enjoyed RA2 and Yuri's Revenge, because the story was excellent and the graphics made it possible to at least tell what unit you were looking at without clicking on it. Maybe I was just expecting too much when I put Generals in my CD tray. Now I don't have a high-end PC by any means, but Generals should have run fine on my PC, and it did. The reason this game is so slow is not because I don't meet the requirements, it is because the units were programmed by the developers to move slowly in order to create that "realistic" effect. Anyone who has played RA2 will know what I'm talking about. Remember how you could go into the options menu to change the game speed (slow, fast, faster, fastest)? Well, with Generals, its is like the game is stuck on slow all the time, and it's not because you don't meet the requirements. If you can get past the slow pacing of the game, wait until it is in the bargain bin to buy it, because it will set you back a pretty penny with not much reward if you don't.
Customer Review: Very Entertaining!!! Summary: 5 StarsWell Bonjour, everyone! I come here all the time to read the reviews before I actually go and buy the game. Some how my friends telling me "That game rocks" just isn't convincing enough. So now I thought I'd drop a few lines about C&C Generals. Well like the other respected reviewrs have said, this game is more like Warcraft than it is like C&C. So if your a die-hard C&C phsyco fan, then you might want to sharpen your butcher knife before purchasing this, because you're going on a killling spree accross the nation angry that they've changed your favourite game. As for everyone else, well go buy a couple gallongs of coffee and barraciade yourself in your room with your computer, because you're not coming out for months. Wait....what..? Oh well moving on. Oh first of I DO NOT think that this game is violent at all. Soldiers DON'T burst like tomatoes. And if you think that watching a terrorsit jeeo flying through the sky in a blaze, performing some first class aerobatic manuevers, is violent well then I honestly don't think that C&C is the right tittle for you. I'd suggest something from the Barbie brand. Barbie beach party if you want to walk on the wild side and take it to the max. Back to the game. It is very realistic. Your structures actually look like buildings and not Picaso's, like they did in RA2. All units, and buildings, are now finally to scale. That is you don't have any giraffe sized Micheal Jordans walking around tripping over your tanks. And now tanks are actually TANKS. They take it like a tank. Hostile fire that is. So you DO NOT have to worry about a small band of Malibu's badboys, armed to the teeth with slingshots and high-hopes, terrorizing your arsenal. Um...The battles are just fantabulous. They are straight to the action, no kissing and hugging. Explosions everywhere, bulets ans shells whistling by. Missles trying to get into the acton too. But most of all it is amasing to watch soldiers die. They like to perform little dancing ensembles before they pass they heritage on to the next generation. One time I killed this rocketlauncher weilding Rambo and it looked like he was going to throw his rocketlauncher at one fo my units. I was like whoa, hold it James Bond, no need for heroes. Oh and another thing, this game is set about 20 years from now, and it is very plausible. Like the untis don't seem to advanced from tdays units. Some do have some extra features (on which the U.S. military is working on today, like remote control spy-planes). I mean just think of the technology we had 20 years ago. Just of computers and video games. Tetris was probably the most extreme game out there. Rated: R, scenes of extreme nudity, the vertical, long blocks might arrouse some individuals. Back to Generals. This game is not to far-fetched, unlike RA2. Where they had derigables(kirov airships) and laser tanks. Now I wounder, what year was that? Were they trying to reanact the Hindenburg situation on a larger scale? Anywho, Um...have any of you seen the 2001 movie "Black Hawk Down"? Well if you have then you probably have notcied that Samolian resistance have been using those low-rider pick-up trucks with a machinegune mounted in the back. Well guess what...this game has those! They are weak but inexpensive and quick to produce. And they will drive you insane! But then again nothing beats watching one of those flipping over in the air, flying accross the screen in flames, while the machinegunner is practising his 3m springboard biving routine. Well tha about covers it. I'd like to thank all my sponcers; my mom's apple pie, my mom's tomato soup. Oh and my mom's chocolate chip cookies. Well, Bon soir.
