Video Game Reviews of Command & Conquer 3:Tiberium Wars DVDCustomer Review: The Best Yet Summary: 5 StarsIncluded maps are a little week - I am sure the expansion pack will fix that (if you Buy it).
Customer Review: Don't believe the publisher's specs Summary: 1 Stars2.06 ghz speed (within the published specs) isn't enough. After install it freezes the computer, then reboots. RAM is above published specs too, as is Hard Drive space.
It's going back for a refund
Customer Review: Way too fast-paced Summary: 2 StarsI was really looking forward to this game. I'm a big fan of real-time strategy and world-builder type games, and I enjoyed the 1st C&C a lot. This game does have some high points. The sounds are amazing, and there are a lot of cool buildings and units. I like that units can garrison buildings to take cover from fire, and that infantry can create foxholes, but all of this is eclipsed by the sheer pace of the game. There just simply isn't enough time to use any of the cool features or develop a strategy.
I find myself constantly building and training, and I never have time to put together any kind of strategy. As soon as I start moving a patrol around, the base gets hit and takes away my attention. Then I need to rebuild my defenses, train more units, all the while my patrol force is being wiped out. Then I create a new patrol force and the cycle begins again. There is never enough time to even breathe.
It's just way too fast paced to be any fun in my opinion. If I want frenetic action with little chance of success, I'll pick an arguement with my wife...
Customer Review: A must have for RTS fans Summary: 4 StarsCommand & Conquer 3 is a definite "must have" for C&C and RTS fans all around. Once again, you get to choose whose side you want to fight for. The Global Defense Initiative or The Brotherhood of NOD. The graphics are great, you don't need a super computer to play and the controls are relatively easy. The only thing I didn't like about the game is after you beat it playing both sides, you unlock a third race called the Scrin. The army is cool but there are only 4 single player levels to their story mode. I can assume there will be an add-on coming out eventually.
Customer Review: Great Fun Summary: 5 StarsDespite a few early hiccups C&C3 is a great game and will only get better once the final balance issues / bugs are ironed out. Don't be scared off by the endless hordes of whiners.
