Customer Review: IT DOES RUN IN XP!

I have Windows XP home. I have the latest 256 MB PCI-express ATI video card. I have a 3.2 GHZ pentium processor. I have a very high resolution monitor. I installed SUPERBIKE 2001. It ran without a hitch. Never a problem. The one i have is even the older version before the XP updated one. If your video card is not supporting this game, go get the drivers for your video card from the makers website! Just update your computer. That usually does it. Have fun. This game is really great. A little on the tough side. But, quality all the way through. It easily stands up to current cycling games. It's still one of the top 5 best racing sims in my book. I had the original SBK game which ran fine of a Win 95 PC. I later tried to run this on a new PC running windows XP and it failed to operate. I then purchased a second copy of the game (SBK 2001)which stated that it ran on XP but I still found that it did not recongise the video. Has anyone else managed to get this game operating on XP. I even contacted EA Sport (twice) but they failed to reply.Customer Review: bongo

well what can i say since XP i can runt it , it says invalid vidio .ive looked thru properties to change it into run as 95 mode , but cant find it lol . so how do i run it in XP please ?

I read a reiview in the Mac addict magazine that came out recently. They did an article on motorcyle racing, and they came to the same conclusion I have come too. Even though there are newer games out for superbike racing, this game is the best even though it is 2 years old. It has enough riders and bikes as well as courses to keep you going for a while. The graphics are excellent for a game that came out 2 years ago, and can still rival games that just came out. Also when paired with the Gravis Eliminator Gamepad Pro USB controller, it hard to stop playing. It provides an array of racing views ranging from 1st person to 3rd person. If you are into superbike racing or racing in general you can't go wrong. However, I don't reccomend buying this game for 19.99. I recommend searching for "Racing Mania 2" The Racing Mania 2 package comes with not only this game, but 3 other super racing games. Need for speed hot persuit, Need for speed Porsche unleased, and Nascar 2000. All these games are excellent and the package costs 19.99. 3 more games for the same price. Buy this game, it's so realistic & so much fun I love Laguna Seca! The way the bike slides, rides moves & crashes are brilliant hope SBK2002 comes out soon;) I'm sick of Formula One games with the same tracks over & over this is a great substitute.
