the controller issue can be fixed if you change the name of your controller in the registry. start menu, run, type "regedit", go to find, enter your controller name exactly (name of your current controller as defined by the controllers menu on control panel). double click on the highlighted line and replace the title to the accepted controller. keep hitting "find next" until you have replaced all of the titles of your controller with one of the 5 available in the game. i use a sidewinder, but with the profile name Logitech Dual Action Gamepad. good luck, this game is awesome, it shouldn't be limited by controller issues.Customer Review: Very solid

The controller issue aside, this game is very fun. The keyboard after all isn't that bad if you have to use it. Just seeing those old time uniforms is very refreshing. All in all, this game makes for a good time.Customer Review: I like my keyboard!

This sucks! I buy this game and what do I find out...you don't get the complete game if using your keyboard. I like my keyboard and enjoy playing my other games with it. Why should I have to shell out an additional $20-50 dollars for a gamepad I don't want. EA made a big mistake as far as I'm concerned. And before anyone says, "Just buy a gamepad", the answer is no. If EA can't figure a way to incorporate all the controls for my keyboard, then it's time to look elsewhere for software.Customer Review: MVP baseball 2004

Extreme disapointment! I HAVE a wingman rumblepad, and it still does not work with the game. A waste of 40 bucks as far as I'm concerned...at least until they correct this BIG gaff.Customer Review: HORRIBLE

I bought this game expecting another awesome EA game only to find out I CANNOT USE MY GRAVIS GAMPEPAD! I can use this gamepad on Madden 2004, NHL 2004 and NBA Live 2004, but I guess it is not good enough for MVP. Sure in Madden I loose out because I don't have the 2 extra analog controllers, whoopie di do. Now I have to shell out more $$ so I can actually play the game. Read the fine print before you buy it.
