Video Game Reviews of Diablo

Customer Review: Revolutionary gamer!
Summary: 5 Stars

Diablo was very exciting with different levels of single and multiplayer playing. The game offers a revolutionarily new game engine and battle engine. The quests are simple enough for a six year old, yet complex enough to captivate older audiences. The Blizzard multiplayer option allowed me to keep in touch, through playing and chatting with my friends from all over the world. Our altered egos (characters) would stay in town square and hold a conversation, or could fight side by side or against each other in combat. I give this game very high rankings.

Customer Review: Yep, I've played it and can't think of a better title
Summary: 3 Stars

Enjoy this one thoroughly. However, graphics aren't nearly as detailed as other games I've played; bird's-eye view is limiting, and the sorcerer character has no chance in hell of surviving past the first levels to where his abilities could be considered an advantage. The Rogue and the Warrior are great fun, however, and the game can be played over and over before it begins to be dull.

Customer Review: Straightforward and to the point...
Summary: 4 Stars

This is an RPG stripped of the roleplaying elements and reduced to a hack-and-slash. But it's a _fun_ hack-and-slash, and that's what matters, right? There's a nice variety of baddies to go after, especially if you buy the Hellfire add-on. Don't buy if you're prone to repetitive-motion injuries, because you'll be clicking the mouse nearly constantly throughout much of the game; and watch out for cheaters in the multiplayer arena. But take it for what it is--a fun romp through a dungeon full of monsters carrying around gold coins for no obvious reason--and you can't go wrong.

Customer Review: A good, simple, fun, violent game.
Summary: 5 Stars

It's a great way to bash, shoot, and fry demons and monsters. Game basics aren't very original; Tunnels of Doom for the TI 99/4A looked a lot like it in '82. But the graphics and multiplayer aspect make it stand out.

Customer Review: Great game if you love hack-n-slash!
Summary: 5 Stars

I used to be a huge fan of Rogue and Nethack. Although simpler in many ways, this game reproduces some important parts of those games, with great graphics to boot. It satisfied my urge for a simple D&D hack-n-slash game with great gameplay, spell effects, etc. Good for countless hours of mindless amusement.
