Trophy hunter 2003 is one of the most realistic and detailed games ever created and it's a shame they stopped with this one. Animal AI is by far the best out of all hunting sims. One of the funner things to do is going moose hunting. Moose are angry creatures. So if you see one and say you get too close for a shot, watch out cause they will run you over and kill you. BUT if you can hit the screenshot button as they are attacking you it makes for some entertaining desktop backgrounds. Deer hunter 2005 picks up where this one left off as far as graphics and detail of your surroundings. Still today I play TH2003 for big game fun and DH2005 for deer, DH2005 also has a very simple level editor. TH2003 editor is one of the first versions and is a little more complicated that DH2005's. These games are hands down the best hunting sims available. The OTHER guys Games (starts with a C) makes you feel trapped in their linear tunnel like experience. You can't walk up hills you can't get to high ground, ahhhhh. Then there are all these stupid rule's forcing you to study game laws so as not to get arrested mid game for violating some stupid law. Anyway I also own Deer hunter Tournament. I waited years for an updated hunting game but this wasn't it. I cried. The animal AI has been dumbed down to idiotic levels to make up for the diversity in wildlife. Come on guys, my computer can run any game on the highest settings lets push the limits of the simulation a little bit. But at the same time it is the latest game and I will still play it occasionally for a different feel. So in review of my review, For The best sim hunting experience TH2003 for big game and I'll add that DH2004, DH2005 and DH tournament are your best bet for deer hunting sims. shop around for the best prices and have fun.
