Not nearly as good as the first one; this game has a lot of problems. For instance, If you make a roller coaster, either its way too intense for the parkers ( people in park ) to ride on, or way too boring. This game is called RCT to RIDE rides, right? Well, you can't make your own roller coaster to have people go on it. To make people want to ride your coasters you have to make a premade one. I hate premades; i like to make them myselves. Anyways, this game had potential, but it didn't do what it was intended. A lot of cool new stands and landscapes and rides, but it seems that this game was rushed. Stick with the original, or get RCT3 maybe. ( I havent played that game personally, but it looks cool. )

I love Rollercoaster Tycoon. It is fun and challenging. I was so excited when rollercoaster tycoon. I'll give you a run down of the features.

Graphics: The graphics are about the same as rollercoaster tycoon.

Scenery: Lots of new scenery and theming ideas

Rides: Loads and loads of new rides and even some sixflags rides

Features: A handy new feature is the........( techinally, there is no name or it) Remeber when you were making pre-desogned rides and had to remove millions of trees before being able to build it? Well, in rct2, it does it for you. And for rollercoasters and some other rides, it has a pre built entrance and exit, as well as pre built queue lines and exit paths. Another new thing is the scenario editor, where you make your own scenario. I recommend getting RollerCoaster Tycoon 2:Triple Thrill Pack.

RCT2 is the best pc game i have ever played, i love building my own rides and love building infrastructure. I usually play this alot in the summer or when the theme parks near me open because when i go there and see rides and the overall appearance of the park, i say i want to build somehting like that and i can with RCT2.
