Master Of Orion II is worth your money. It's colonizing and building tools are great fun, and even having battles with your friends is a good way to spend thew afternoon. The graphics in this version are'nt big and flashy, but they are still extremely interesting (cool sci-fi effects)! I find the options and goals to be fun and usful, not to mention realistic. In addition to colonizing new habitable planets, you may also build and buy buildings, housing, and factories, plus military bases to defend your planet. Your scientists can work on projects to enhance your combat or scientific capabilities, your farmers can grow food for your hungry people, and your laborers and workers promise to build you a strong empire, as long as you fulfill their needs.
Because of the above components, Master Of Orion II somewhat resembles "Simcity", on the grounds of directing a bustiling metropolis and empire.
All things considered, this game is worth your money and time.;)

This may be an older game and online support has been discontinued, but this game is a real winner. I play other games like IL2 Sturmovik and Grand Theft Auto III with all the nice action and graphics, yet I alway find myself coming back to Master of Orion.This game is simply addicting. You can play it for hours many times over and never encounter the same scenario twice unlike many other games. I just wish they came out with a new version, because this one is truely a classic.

For years I have been playing computer games, they come, they go, and i forget about many of the ones i had played at one time or another, but one game has stuck with me to the point of making me purchace it again. That game is master of orion 2. Not only is it perhaps one of the most interactive games out there, with so many options, it is one of the most challenging games that can keep you entertained forever, for, the possobilities are endless. Anyone who wants a game worth buying, worth paying the 50 bucks other games sell for, buy this one. One draw back- no graphics, but you will be having so much fun with this game you wont even think about the graphics. I cant wait untill master of orion 3 comes out.~Scottish365

Master of orion 2 takes Civilization to space. The multitude of races and the option to customize a race keeps the game from getting old. Design ships, hire leaders and officers, build up your planets, use diplomacy with other races, advance your technology, and build an armada to crush your enimies. This is my personal all time favorite game and I can't wait until Master of Orion 3 comes out.
