Video Game Reviews of Master of Orion 2: Battle At Antares (Jewel Case)Customer Review: Great Solo, Multi Needs Work Summary: 3 StarsThe Master of Orion games are very entertaining if you enjoy the build resources and expansion, conquer themes. The different races make is interesting, and it can be done multiplayer.Down sides. Refitting your ships constantly can take a bit, especially when you have to go back and refit or get rid of yoru old ones. And in the solo game, you can tell it to keep passing turns until something actually happens, making the downtime a lot less. Not so for Muliplayer. you could each be sitting there passing your turn back and forth for awhile before you actually want to do another turn
Customer Review: greatest game ever Summary: 5 StarsNo one game has ever come to be as fun and exciting as this one. By picking the characteristics of you race, the people that you control in the game, one can determine the fate of the game from the very beginning. He can be a fighter whose combat skills are far beyond those of the other characters. Or he can become a master spy and never work for the technologies that can help rule the galaxy. Or he can be a super producer and make more ships, buildings, colonies and more, so that he suffocates his enemies. And there are so many more combinations of great players. This is the ultimate strategy game, and the next one promises to be even more exciting.
Customer Review: Lost time Summary: 5 StarsThis game sucks time out of your life. I can't tell you how many times I was just going to play for a few min and lost 5 hours of time. I too have preorderd Moo III it has some BIG shoes to fill if its not GREAT it will flop. BUY this game you will love it.
Customer Review: The best sci-fi strategy game of the old millenium Summary: 5 StarsThere hasn't been a strategy game like this since the original Master Of Orion. A game that immediately puts the user in a trance-like state of must-play-one-more-turn mode. Unlike some games in this genre that was released around the same time, MOO2 is much easier to get into. Perhaps its the intuitive interface or the adjustable difficulty setting, or the gradual learning curve, whatever the case, once you start playing this game in earnest, you will find it more and more enjoyable as you discover all the multifaceted aspects of this game such as diplomacy, combat, exploration, research, espionage, etc.Despite the somewhat outdated graphics, I would still highly recommend this game to anyone who has ever played or considered playing a strategy game. You'll be glad you picked it up!
