Video Game Reviews of Indigo ProphecyCustomer Review: indigo prophesy Summary: 1 StarsI really wish that I could give this game a good rating but when it arrived I tried to load it and it would not load in my computer.
Of course I have a C**py Dell and they dident put in the 32MG card I need to run this game. And Who knows just how much it will be to get one,HA HA
Most likely a new computer though I just bought this one in Nov,08.
AS Far as rating the Seller, it arrived fast and in great condition.
To the people who did not like how I rated this game, It is hard to give a good rating to a game that I could not play. I did say
that it was my computer not the game itself.
So if you like this kind of game buy it! I wish like heck it that I could have played it.
Customer Review: Sub-PAR Summary: 3 StarsJust finished the game and I'm just confused. I read good reviews about this game, and it had potential but I am very disappointed. The PAR sequences were as annoying as ABC sitcoms and just as unnecessary.
Why can't I just watch a cut-scene without hitting up down up down up down? I also like being able to choose what the character is going to say/ask next, but again, why do they give me the choice when sometimes all the questions end up being asked anyway... though sometimes you aren't given the chance to ask every question but then I feel like I missed something.
The voice acting was great, but the "twists" my game took toward the end (involving a relationship that springs up seemingly out of nowhere) left me yelling out "what the hell!?" like I was watching a bad episode of home improvement, but hey that's probably just because of some dumb choice I made.
I understand there are multiple endings and lots of ways the storyline can branch out but I'd rather have a game longer than 6 hours with a single storyline that the creators put effort on (Half-Life 2!).
What I did like is that this game is DIFFERENT. It seems like every game that comes out now is a cookie cutter first person shooter that probably involves aliens or Nazis - and it works because people keep buying and playing them. But I wanted to try something new. Mini games can be a good idea when done right, but the game play is flawed because of an over-reliance by the creators on embedding Simon Says into their game like they have some kind of subconscious sadomasochistic fetish with men named Simon telling them what to do.
It also gets a plus for roughly being a conspiracy-thriller -- and I say roughly because comparing this to a well-done conspiracy game like Deus Ex is like comparing George Lopez to Joanna Krupa in a bikini contest.
I keep trying to say nice things about Fahrenheit but they keep reminding me of the bad times I had while playing it. Like being forced to play a sex mini game. Come to think of it, I'll have to retry that chapter because I'm now wondering what happens if I mess up the mouse motions... Do I fail the sex? And as for Carla naked in the shower... yeah I suppose that's nice that you guys created a hot video game character but really, wouldn't that only appeal to the younger crowd?
With all that said, I can't wait for the semi-sequel Heavy Rain and I hope they do it better next time.
Customer Review: Good Cinematic Game Summary: 5 StarsThis is one of the best adventure games to come out in the last few years. It's very cinematic so the story is the major focus in the game. Gameplay is simplified to following the buttons on screen, so there is much variety, still if you like this sort of game get it for the interesting story and characters.
Customer Review: Fun interesting, graphics great, but action sequences problem. Summary: 3 StarsIndigo Prophecies had a captivating storyline, solid characters, nice graphics, and lovely cinematic sequences (of which there are many). I enjoyed playing through it the first time but would never do so again simply because it's much like a movie in that it has no replayability to speak of. Once you've experienced it through to the end, that's it.
My single major gripe is that the interactive action sequences require you to conduct a bizarre button mashing session that consists of pressing buttons that correspond to colored flashes on the screen. Basically, your successful pressing of the button sequence allows the cinematic scene to progress in your favor while mistakes result in the scene ending badly (death, capture, etc.). This interface gets very old very fast and I suspect that it was just designed to allow inexperienced gamers to fudge through it without having to learn the art of real-time 3D action.
All in all, an enjoyable experience, but limited to a single dose.
Customer Review: Absolutly loved it!!!! Summary: 5 StarsI purchased this game on a whim and was not really sure that I was going to like it when I started playing. The story line sucked me in right off the bat. The voice actors are good and the playing is fun. I have played it twice already.
