Video Game Reviews of Impossible Creatures (Jewel Case)Customer Review: Simply a Great Game Summary: 5 StarsI played this with my 7 year old daughter for a few times, and help her every now and then, but for the most part she plays the game by herself. I've turned a few other kids onto it as well, and they all love it. It is just a great idea for a game, how can it not be fun to mix a dragonfly with a gorilla to create a dragonilla? And the game modes really teaches the kids a bit about economics in the sense that there is a cost to everything, and resources should not be wasted etc. I've bought a lot of (mostly crappy) kids games in my time, this one rises way above the rest. The main negative on this one is that it does not support internet play against friends, and it also has some expansion packs that are tricky to install.
Customer Review: Nothing Is Impossible Here!!! Summary: 4 StarsI first had the pleasure of playing this game via my roomate's laptop a few years ago. I have been enjoying it on my own ever since. He had bought it all on a whim to see if it was as good as the cover art made it seem.
The graphics are not too bad(all things considered). The game play resembles that of the Command and Conquer series...so if you are a fan of "A view from the top" then you should fit right in to this genre.
The is a great aspect to the possibilities of creation. "Playing god" if you will. Even though you are given a decent amount of base animals, you will find your possibilities of creation will be so profound, that you might not know where to begin.
A great game and a great time killer...and for the price, not a bad bargain at all.
Customer Review: My Daughter (and I) Love it! Summary: 5 StarsMy 7 year old daughter saw this on a rack at a computer store (cheap software impulse purchase). I tried to sway her to get something quite different but she prevailed.
I am very glad I let her! I don't see this as violent (not by today's standards). There is no blood. There are battles but there is no emotional attachment to these creatures. Every game is different. I love the idea of developing strategies and helping our daughter develop alternatives. This game is not easy and I find that adults are intrigued as much as kids.
The 9 y/o boys across the street kept begging to come over to our house to play the game with our daughter (then their parents finally found a copy).
This was an unexpected surprise! It's cheap too!
Customer Review: The funnest PC game in the world!!! Summary: 5 StarsImpossible Creatures is the funnest game ever. It takes forever to beat, even with cheats, and has many different modes. I have probably spent over 100 hours playing it, and I'm still not bored of it. I totally recomend it!
