Not a lot to really say. The game adds new cultures, wonders and special units They really add to the game. If you dig Civ 4...then you really need this expansion. The addition of the Great Generals to the Great Persons catagories is really cool to.Customer Review: Sweetness

I must say I enjoyed this expansion pack a lot in filling in a lot more gaps that seemed to of been sitting in the game when I bought it. A fun add-on for the new Civ IV PC game, adds a few exciting scenarios. For some reason, the background music on my copy plays too fast, but that doesn't affect the overall quality of the game. Customer Review: Good little sparks, but nothing THAT innovative

Although after buying this expansion, the Ottoman's have become my new favorite tech, the expansion overall doesnt add much. Vasssal state feature is cool, but hard to attain, and pointless most of the time. I do have to say that my favorite new feature is the special buildings - I think it adds an excellent new strategy to choice of civ.
If you are crazy about civ 4, then definitely get this expansion, but if your just an occasional player, then you'd be fine just sticking with the base civ, and using the $30 getting an extra tank of gas instead.
