Customer Review: Vast improvement over Civ 3, just wish I hadn't grown up while I was waiting

I've played the Civ series since Civ 1. For me, Civ 2 was perfection. Civ 3 was a disappointment. Civ 4 corrects all the mistakes made in Civ 3 and really takes the game to fantastic new places. But the thing is, all of the new features seem to have diluted the pure fun of Civ 2; of course I suspect I feel this way only because I no longer have the time to dedicate to these epic, sprawling games. If I was stranded on a desert island and could have only one game, it would certainly be Civ 4 -there are more hours of gameplay here than in any other game.
